I'll miss you,
I'll miss you advice,
Your stories,
Your fun comments,
I'll miss the love you give,
The way you influence me,
But if it's time to go,
Then make sure you know,
I'll miss you,
No one can replace you,
I'll love you forever and you will always be in my heart.

This poem was written specially for my Grandad and i read it at his funeral which was really hard.

It a poem i wrote when my grandad was ill and i read it to him when he was dieing and he grunted so i think he liked.
He died on the 16th October and thats why i haven't done anything on this for ages!

it hurts me to read this poem knowing that though it shows great promise in your talents, that is was created through sadness but that is how many people deal with there unhappy times, writing poems or songs and those created through real raw emotion are always the best. I am deeply sorry for your loss, i know how it feels to lose family members as my grandparents from my dads side both passed some time ago but remember your granddad will be watching over you and you will never truly be without him.

thank you so much, all the nice things people have said about everything to do with my grandad have really helped, i know my grandad would be proud of me. The funeral was so hard though and at the crematurium, in the church they nearly ran out of chairs as my grandad had lots of friends and family and lots of people that he had touched. Thank you for your kind words, i apprieciate them.

Wow, it's funny i did the exact same thing, except it was for my great grandmother. I read it at her funeral and it was so hard, i started crying. This poem reminds me of that time, and it is a very good poem, too. so much emotion.
